Disney’s Beach Club Resort One Bedroom Suite Review

We had the opportunity to stay in a one bedroom suite at Disney’s Beach Club Resort shortly after the refurbishment. This was an exciting stay for us since the Yacht and Beach Club are our favorite resorts, and staying in a suite with access to the club level lounge is always amazing!

We didn’t really know what to expect before getting there, prior to this visit we had only seen pictures and reviews of the rooms prior to the refurbishment, but I’m happy to report that we absolutely loved it! There were some key things that changed with the refurb that we were certainly fans of, the most important being the door between the bedroom and living area went from being a glass door to being solid, so much more privacy which was great for our group staying there.

They also added a nice murphy bed in the living area which was far more comfortable than any sofa bed I’ve tried in the past.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.

So the day of check-in, we were greeted in the lobby by a wonderful cast member who we chatted with for a while about the gingerbread carousal (we went over the holidays, yes this review is super late). While speaking with him, another cast member came over to greet us as well and see if he could help checking in. Once he realized we were club level he quickly whisked us upstairs to the club level lounge to check in at the desk there.

Now, we stayed club level at three different resorts in this trip, and this was the first one that immediately offered welcome drinks, which we of course accepted. Not a dig against the other resorts, they were also amazing, but we did like this little extra welcome.

Since we arrived just in time for the snacks at the lounge, we decided to stay there for a bit and grab some food. Now, we love club level, but not for the snack service. Normally this is fine since we’re in the parks during that time, but compared to pre-pandemic, the snack service these days is lacking. We did enjoy some bread and fruit, but that was about it.

Our room wasn’t quite ready yet at that point, so we did what anyone would do with some time to spare, took a ride around on the Skyliner!

The timing worked out great, and while on the ride home I got the room ready text!

Once back at the International Gateway, we quickly made our way back to the Beach Club and went in the side entrance that’s super close to Epcot. It took a while to wind through all the halls, but we eventually made it to our room.

I will admit, at first I was a bit unhappy that we were on the second floor, but once we saw the room, and how convenient it was to everything, we ended up absolutely loving it!

There is a short hall when you first enter where they have closets with the safe, steamer, extra bedding, and robes and slippers.

You then enter into the living area. Now, this room was pretty small, when the murphy bed was open it pretty much blocked the access to the balcony, but since we only had it open at night when we were sleeping this wasn’t a big deal.

There was a small coffee bar and beverage cooler in this room as well. Of note, of the three suites we stayed in this trip, this is the only one that did not have an actual refrigerator, it only had the beverage cooler.

The bedroom in this room was huge. It had a king bed and a sleeper sofa, and there was still so much room for activities. I’m pretty sure that room was the same size as the entire first floor of my house.

This room also had a massive balcony, it was the length of about three or four regular balconies! Although oddly enough, we had a second balcony off the bedroom, but there was no way to access it, and even odder, it had the better view of the two balconies.

The inaccessible balcony

This room only had a single bathroom, which is one downside when traveling with a larger party. It would have been nice to have a half bath as well, and there certainly was room for it, that bedroom had more than enough room to spare!

The location of the room ended up being amazing. It was just a short hall down from the elevators, maybe a 15-20 second walk, so we had quick access to the club level lounge. Also, on the second floor they have a staircase directly down to the lobby at the elevators, so we could quickly get to the lobby as well, maybe 30 seconds away. So while I was concerned about being on the second floor at first, in the end I loved the location! Another bonus of the room, all the one bedroom suites above us had the small julliet balconies, so we felt we lucked out getting this absolutely huge balcony on our floor!

Overall we loved this room and would definitely stay there again. There were a few small downsides, such as the beverage cooler had a light that would not turn off, and the cabinet it was in had a lattice type front, so at night it lit up the room. This though was easily remedied by putting a suitcase in front of it to block the light out, but still an odd design choice. Also, it would have been nice to have at least a second half bath, but we made it work! However, even with those small issues, the room was fantastic, we spend HOURS out on the balcony enjoying the views and watching people going and coming from Epcot. We would definitely recommend!
