Canada Booth at the 2022 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

Canada is one of our all time favorite booths of the festival. It has a small menu compared to other booths, however the items offered are typically delicious and end up on our best of the fest list!

This year they only have two food items, the Canadian Cheddar and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll and the “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce. For drinks the menu this year is also limited with only the Collective Arts Audio/Visual Lager, and Château des Charmes Cabernet-Merlot Estate.

We opted to only get the food here this year, in the past they’ve had some really great beers but since they were not offered this year we decided to try drinks elsewhere.

For the food, this year was a huge hit! We’ll start with the soup. The Canadian Cheddar and Bacon Soup with a Pretzel Roll is delicious. I mean, you can’t really go wrong with basically a bowl full of cheese and a soft pretzel to dip it in!

In the past we’ve actually passed on this soup since we’re usually there when it’s very hot and humid, and warm soup just doesn’t sound appealing, however after years of hearing great things about the soup we decided to give it a try. I am SO glad we did! It is a bit heavy, but not as heavy as expected, so was actually a great snack to try on such a hot day! The soup is very smooth and has a great cheddar flavor. The pretzel is nice and soft and is perfect for dipping in the soup!

The second food item at the booth, which is a repeat favorite for us, is the Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce. Now, we’ve been very lucky to get this usually cooked to perfection, however we have seen reports of people getting this overcooked. We almost always get this first thing in the morning, so that may be why we consistently get great servings of it. The beef is super tender, we haven’t even needed to use a knife to cut it, and the sauce on top is phenomenal. Once again this ended up on our best of the fest list this year!
